01 · Why we built this
Most media gets made to fill a feed. Some of it has to do something harder.
Most of what gets made today is built to fill a slot — to feed a channel, hit a deadline, keep the calendar moving. That work has its place. But it isn’t the work that lasts, and it isn’t the work that moves anyone. We built this studio for the second one.
Most media is made to fill space.
We make ours to start fires.
The rest of this page tells you what we mean by fires — what we believe, how we think, what we make, and what we refuse to make. Six chapters and a test. If the studio is right for you, you’ll feel it before the end.
02 · What we believe
Four beliefs that govern every project.
Lead with why.
Every project starts with one question — why does this need to exist? If we can’t answer it, we don’t start.
Story before surface.
Visuals serve the story. Not the other way around. We design from the message out, never the moodboard down.
Restraint is the louder choice.
More isn’t bolder. The strongest work is the work with everything unnecessary cut away.
Emotion is the only metric that compounds.
A stat fades. A feeling stays. We optimize for the feeling, and the stats follow.
03 · How we think
We think in three concentric circles. From the inside out.
We work to ignite something.
The studio exists to make media that moves people — emotionally, viscerally, before they have language for it. Every project starts here.
We start with the reason. Then we cut everything that doesn’t serve it.
Restraint isn’t aesthetic. It’s a method. We strip a project to its single reason for existing, and we let that reason govern every decision after.
Music, film, brands — built around a why.
What we make varies. The studio’s answer to “why does this need to exist?” never does.
04 · What we make
Three rooms. One studio.
Songs that mean something.
Original songs, hooks, and demos written from the message out. We write the music; we don’t run the room it’s cut in. What leaves us is artist-ready: a song with a reason, a hook that earns its repeat, and an emotional direction someone else can produce against.
Film that earns attention.
Promo, social cuts, lyric pieces, short-form campaign edits — sized to the work, not to a gear list. Built around a single question: what is this piece supposed to make someone feel? The cut serves that answer; nothing else.
Brands built to last.
Visual identity, message systems, and rollout — designed from the message out, not the moodboard down. Brands that carry a reason and look like they mean it. Web is future-adjacent; we don’t promise full builds we can’t stand behind.
05 · The Burn Test
Six questions. One standard.
Every project that leaves the studio passes through this.
Does it carry a reason?
Would it move someone who didn’t ask for it?
Could anyone else have made it?
Will it still matter in a year?
Are we proud to put our name on it?
If it didn’t exist tomorrow, would anyone notice?
If it doesn’t carry a reason, it doesn’t leave the studio.
06 · The Tagline
Fueled by passion. Built to ignite.
Passion isn’t a vibe. It’s a filter — if it doesn’t move us, we don’t make it.
Ignite isn’t a metaphor. It’s the test — if it doesn’t move them, it isn’t done.
Which is why every project earns its way through the Burn Test before it leaves us — and why what comes next is who that test is built for.
07 · Who we build with
If you’d rather make something true than make something safe — you’re in the right place.
We build with founders, artists, and teams who care more about getting it right than getting it easy. The work that lasts comes from collaborators who can sit with a hard question and answer it honestly. Bring us your reason; we’ll figure out the rest together.
08 · What we don’t make
Some work isn’t ours to make. Saying so is part of doing this honestly.
- Recording sessions and tracking vocals.
- We write the songs. We don’t run the room they’re cut in.
- Full music video productions and crewed shoots.
- Promo, lyric pieces, social cuts. Sized to the work, not the gear list.
- Web tools and software builds.
- We build the site the brand lives on. We don’t build the software it runs.
- Always-on marketing operations.
- We make the work the campaigns point to. We don’t run the campaigns.
- Production rooms we’re not in.
- We make the assets a shoot or event runs on. We don’t run the rooms.
09 · How a project starts here
Three beats. One conversation.
You bring the reason.
Tell us what this work is for. Not the brief, not the deadline — the reason it has to exist. The clearer the reason, the better the work that comes back.
We pressure-test it.
We run it through the Burn Test together. If a project can’t survive those six questions, we say so. Better an honest no than a polite yes.
If it survives, we build.
We move into making — the Writing Room, the Cut Room, the Design Room, or some combination. The reason from beat 01 governs every decision after.
