Ahead of the 2020 Census, Bay County needed a clear, local message to cut through national noise and drive actual participation. Burning Passion Media produced a PSA featuring community leaders from across the county—voices residents already know and trust—speaking directly to why completing the census matters for Bay County’s future.
The spot explains, in plain language, how accurate census data shapes funding for schools, roads, healthcare, emergency services, and other critical programs. By combining on‑camera messages from diverse local leaders with simple calls to action, the campaign turned an abstract federal process into something personal and urgent, encouraging residents to be counted and to invest a few minutes in their community.
